Gajar Ka Halwa


As the crisp Indian winter sets in, nothing is more comforting than a warm, fragrant bowl of Gajar Ka Halwa. This classic carrot pudding, made with carrots, milk, ghee, nuts, and NestlĂ© MILKMAID, is more than just a dessert; it’s a culinary hug, a reminder of home, and a celebration of simple, seasonal flavours.


Ingredients :

Grated Carrots - 750 gms

NestlĂ© MILKMAID Mini - 4 tbsp 

Sugar - 200 gms

Ghee -  50 gms

Milk -  200 ml

Elaichi - one or two 

Chopped Kaju (Cashew nuts) - 25 gms

Kishmish (Raisins) - 25 gms

Chopped almonds - 25 gms




Method :

Peel off the carrots properly and grate them.

Heat the ghee on a pan and sprinkle one or two elaichi. 

Now,pour the grated carrots and wait till the raw smell goes away.

Then add the milk and stir frequently. Once, the mixture starts thickening add sugar and stir with the spatula continuously to avoid burning the lower side of the mixture. 

After, all the ingredients get mixed properly, finally add the milkmaid to enhance the taste.

Now, switch off the burner and garnish the halwa with raisins,chopped cashews and almonds. Serve after it gets cooler or better after  getting it freezed.
