Ingredients:
- Chicken breast - 2, cut into strips
- All Purpose flour / Maida - 1 cup
- Cornflour / Cornstarch - ½ cup
- Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Chilli flakes - 1 teaspoon
- White Vinegar - 10-15 ml
- Cornflakes (optional, I personally don't use it) - 2 cups or as needed
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Little amount of water to make the batter.
- Method:
- Put cornflakes in a ziplock cover and crush it till it is coarse(if anyone wants that extra crispy taste but I usually avoid using this ingredient).
- Wash and clean the chicken breasts properly, then cut them into strips.
- Take all purpose flour, cornflour, baking soda, salt, black pepper and chilli flakes in a bowl. Add water and make a smooth batter.
- Now, heat oil in a wok and wait until smoke comes out. Then, take the chicken strips, dip them into the batter, coat in the crushed cornflakes and deep fry the strips till they become golden brown. Repeat the process if needed.
- Finally, serve the hot and crispy chicken strips with ketchup and mayonnaise.
