Kheer naru is mainly presented to Laddu Gopal. He is fond of it. It is made from only a few ingredients...I love to make it again and again as my beloved friends and family like to eat this very much and that too made by only.
Ingredients:
Cow milk - 1 litre
Milk powder - 100 gms
Sugar - 250gms
Mawa or khoya kheer - 200 gms
Raisin or broken cashews - to garnish
Method:
Heat the cow milk in a deep pan or kadai on a wok. Make it thicker by reducing its weight to ½ litre. Stir the spatula frequently so that the lower side of the milk doesn't get burnt.
Add the mawa or khoya kheer to it when it starts getting thick and stir again to mix it well with the milk.
Now, add the milk powder to it along with the sugar. This is the high time when we should stir the spatula continuously to make the proper thickness of the kheer and once it gets a bit sticky we must spread it on a greasy tray and let it cool.
After some time when it becomes a little comfortable to take in the palms,we should start making narus by taking a little amount from the mixture and giving them the perfect round shape.
Finally, garnish the narus with raisins or broken cashews and serve.
The texture of the narus is so smooth and even that it looks like a ping pong ball.
