Dalia(broken wheat) pan cake




Everyday making new new tasty yet healthy breakfast is like a challenge. Breakfast should be full of nutrition and tasteful too so that everyone starts licking their fingers after having a short portion of the meal.So, today I thought of making a new kind of pancake with broken wheat sooji and all purpose flour and moreover with very little amount of oil which came out excellent in taste. Whenever, anyone is in a hurry can go for this recipe.

Ingredients:

Dalia(broken wheat) - 2 tablespoon full
Sooji - 4 teaspoon
All purpose flour - 2 to 3 tablespoon
Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Chaat masala - 1 teaspoon
Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt - as per the taste
Finely chopped chillis - 3 to 4
Egg - 1
Thinly sliced onion - 1(small)
Oil - 1 tablespoon
Water - as required to make the batter



Method:

Take a deep bowl and mix the ingredients together very well. Now, pour the water in little amount and make a thick batter. The consistency should be like a ribbon when falling from the spoon.
Cover the batter with a lid and keep aside for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat a tawa or a fry pan. Put very little amount of oil and pour a ladle full of the batter; Spread it evenly on the tawa and for 2 to 3 minutes to get one side of the pancake fried and let the colour be golden brown. Now, turn it to the other side and do the same. 
Now, make other pancakes like this and serve them hot with choice of your sauces.
