Ingredients :
Hilsa fish(ililsh)-400 gm
Plain yogurt-100 gm
Mustard paste-1tblspn
Turmeric powder-1tspn
Coconut paste-1tspn
Red chilli powder-1/2tspn
Green chilli-4
Salt-as required
Kalonji(nigella seed)-2pinches
Mustard oil-1tblspn.
Method:
Wash & clean the fishes properly.Then rub salt
& turmeric powder well.
Now,beat the yogurt and make a paste of black
mustard,green chillis adding salt so that the paste
doesn't turn bitter.Now,add the paste along with
half of the yogurt to the fish & marinate everything well.
Keep it aside for half an hour.
Now,heat oil in a frying pan & temper it with kalonji.
Add the rest yogurt,red chilli powder & salt and saute
for a minute.
Now,place the marinated fishes carefully.Turn over
after 3-4mins & add 1/2 cup water after 3-4mins.
Cook it for another 3mins from medium to low heat.
Enjoy the dish.
